Art History

As in most cultures, art plays an incredibly important role in First Nations culture.

Historically and presently, art is an inspiring and educational aspect of culture. In many First Nations communities in British Columbia, one of the more common forms of art is paining, although wood sculpture, dance, and singing. (Muckle)

The most iconic representation of First Nations art in the North West Coast, is the totem pole.
